Privacy Policy

No accounts, no logins, no newsletter, nothing sold. Here is the small amount of data that does exist and how to refuse it.

Last updated: 2 September 2026. Questions: info@cheapbotco.com

Cheapbot Co has no accounts, no logins and no newsletter. The only personal information we ever hold is what you type into the contact form, and that goes to an email inbox and nowhere else. We do not sell data to anybody.

What we collect

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people read and which links they click. It sets cookies and collects standard web analytics data: pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and referring site. IP addresses are anonymized by Google before we ever see anything.

We also record a custom event when somebody clicks a buy link, noting which merchant and which product. That is how we know which pages are useful. It is not tied to any identity, because we hold no identities.

Google's own handling of this data is governed by its privacy policy, which is linked in the Sources below.

The contact form

If you use the contact form we receive the name, email address and message you type. It is sent as an email to info@cheapbotco.com and stored in that mailbox. We use it to reply to you and for nothing else - no marketing list, no third parties, no resale.

The form also records the moment the page loaded and includes a hidden field that real people never see. Both exist purely to filter automated spam, and neither identifies you.

Server logs

This site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs including IP addresses for a limited period, for security and operational purposes. That is infrastructure logging rather than something we collect deliberately.

When you click a buy link, you pass through a redirect on this domain and then to the retailer. The retailer sets its own cookie so it can attribute a purchase to us. That cookie is theirs, governed by their privacy policy, and it is how affiliate commission works across the whole web.

We do not receive your name, address, payment details or the contents of your order from that retailer. What we see is aggregate: that a sale happened and what commission it earned. Amazon's own privacy notice covers what it collects when you arrive there.

What we do not do

  • No accounts and no logins. There is nothing to sign up for on this site.
  • No newsletter and no email list. We do not collect email addresses except when you send us one.
  • No selling or sharing data with data brokers, advertisers or anybody else.
  • No advertising network. There are no display ads on this site, which is a large part of why there is so little tracking on it.
  • No profiling. We hold no identities to build a profile against.

Cheapbot Co sets no cookies of its own. Blocking all of the above leaves the site fully functional - nothing here needs a cookie to work.

Your choices

  • Block analytics in your browser settings or with Google's opt-out browser add-on. The site works identically.
  • Block third-party cookies to prevent affiliate attribution. You will still see the same prices and pay the same amount; we simply earn nothing.
  • Ask us to delete a contact-form message. Email us and we will remove it from the mailbox.
  • Use the site without contacting us at all, in which case we hold nothing about you beyond anonymized analytics.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us a contact-form message, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page changes with it. There is no mailing list to notify, which is itself a consequence of how little we collect.
