The suction figure is not the spec that matters here. What matters is whether hair can wrap around the brush, and one machine is the only one that answers that for both brushes.

For pet hair under $300, buy the Roborock Q7 M5+. It is the only machine at this price whose published specification includes an anti-tangle side brush as well as an anti-tangle main brush - and the side brush is where long hair actually wraps worst. Every other anti-tangle claim in this price range covers the main brush and stops there.
If you have a shedding animal, this page is the one to read, because pet hair is the problem that a high suction figure does not solve and that almost every roundup gets wrong.

Why suction is the wrong specification here
Hair is light. Lifting it off a floor takes very little airflow - a 4,000Pa machine and a 12,000Pa machine both manage it easily. The problem with hair is not collecting it, it is what happens to it after collection.
A conventional robot vacuum has a cylindrical brushroll turning at speed. Long hair - human, dog or cat - does not travel down the airflow path. It catches on the bristles, wraps around the roller, and within a few weeks forms a solid sleeve. Once that sleeve exists the brush stops turning freely, the machine stops agitating anything, and it becomes a device that pushes hair around the floor. Most owners do not notice for months.
This is why brush geometry, not suction, carries the weight in this ranking. It is also why the Lefant M210 at under $100 scores 7.5 for pet hair - the same as machines at three times the price. It has no brushroll at all.

Every entry is read from the manufacturer's own listing. Where a manufacturer describes an anti-tangle system without specifying which brush it covers, we treat it as main-brush only.
That last row is the whole argument for the top pick. Side brushes are the thin spinning arms that sweep debris in from the edges, and because they are thin, unshrouded and rotate slowly, they are the single worst hair-wrap point on any robot vacuum. Roborock is the only manufacturer at this price stating a design answer for them.
The second thing pets do to a robot vacuum
They fill it. A shedding dog produces enough hair that a 400 ml onboard bin is full in two or three runs, and a full bin means the machine keeps driving around collecting nothing. This is the most common reason a robot vacuum stops working well without appearing to break.
A self-emptying dock removes the problem entirely, which is why four of the five picks here have one. If you have a pet and are choosing between a machine with a dock and a slightly better machine without, take the dock. It is the difference between a machine that works in month six and one that does not.
If your pet is on carpet
The brushless machines drop out. Everything that makes a brushless inlet good for hair - no bristles, no roller - makes it poor on pile, because there is nothing to agitate the carpet and lift embedded hair out of it. The Lefant M210 is an excellent hard-floor pet machine and a poor carpeted-home one.
