ILIFE V2 Robot Vacuum Review

Almost every robot vacuum now assumes you want an account, a phone and a cloud service. This one assumes the opposite, and after eufy discontinued the 11S MAX it is the only machine left on this site that does.

We have not tested these machines. Everything here comes from published specifications, manufacturer manuals and retailer listings, all cited below. Prices last verified October 5, 2026.

How this is funded: if you buy through a link here we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. It does not change which machines we recommend or what we say about them. Full disclosure.

The ILIFE V2 is the machine to buy if you want a robot vacuum that connects to nothing. ILIFE states plainly that no Wi-Fi connection is required for operation - you run it from a physical remote or the button on the lid, and you can still set a cleaning schedule without an app. It is also the cheapest machine we rank, and its tangle-free suction port means long hair has no roller to wrap around. What you give up is everything a map provides, and any way of knowing how much suction you bought.

Scores come from the published rubric on How We Pick: suction 25%, navigation 25%, pet hair 20%, running cost 20%, setup 10%. Editorial judgments about published specifications, not test results.

What the specifications actually say

Connectivity: none required, and that is the product. ILIFE's listing says the V2 comes with a physical remote and that no Wi-Fi connection is needed to operate it. There is no account to create, no cloud service that can be discontinued, and no firmware update that can change how the machine behaves overnight. For a particular kind of buyer that is not a limitation, it is the specification - the full case is on no-Wi-Fi robot vacuums.

Scheduling without an app. This is the detail that makes it more than a toy. The listing states the V2 runs routine cleaning on a preset schedule, set from the remote, and returns to its dock on its own. Most network-free machines make you press a button every time; this one does not.

A tangle-free suction port, not a brushroll. The same idea the cheap Lefants use: debris goes straight into the airflow path through an open inlet, so there is no roller for long hair to wind around. On hard floors that is a genuine advantage and it is why this machine scores well above the eufy it replaces on pet hair. On carpet it is a real weakness, because there is nothing to agitate pile with - the argument in full is on best for pet hair and best for carpet.

2.99 inches tall. That puts it level with the Lefant M210 and the Tikom G8000 Max as the slimmest machines we rank now that the 2.85-inch eufy is gone. The published heights across the whole field are on best for low furniture.

Runtime: up to 120 minutes, then it docks itself. Reasonable for the price and for the size of home this machine suits.

Suction: ILIFE publishes no figure. No Pascal rating appears on this listing. That is the same problem the eufy had and it costs the V2 the same points on our rubric - an unpublished figure is scored as unverified rather than assumed weak. Worth noting that ILIFE *does* publish a Pa figure on some of its other machines, so the silence here is a choice about this model rather than a company-wide policy.

What you are actually giving up

No map, and everything that follows from it. No keep-out zones, so the cable nest behind the desk needs a physical barrier. No room selection, so "clean the kitchen" is not a command you can give. No cleaning history. And coverage by wandering rather than in planned rows, which is fine in a small flat and poor across a large floor plan - we set out what a map is worth on is LiDAR worth it.

It also does not mop, and it has no dock beyond charging. At this price none of that is surprising, but it is worth being explicit: this is a floor-sweeping machine for hard floors, and it is not pretending to be anything else.

How it compares with what it replaced

The eufy 11S MAX was a better-built machine. It was slimmer at 2.85 inches, it had a tempered glass top, and eufy's BoostIQ raised suction automatically on carpet. The V2 matches none of that.

What the V2 does better is hair, because a tangle-free port beats the eufy's single side brush and conventional inlet for a shedding household on hard floors, and scheduling, which the eufy could do but which many network-free machines cannot. It is also substantially cheaper. On balance it is a narrower machine at a lower price, and for the one buyer this category serves - somebody who wants no app - it does the job.

Who should buy it

Somebody buying for a parent or grandparent who will never open an app. Somebody who does not want another device on the home network. Somebody with a small hard-floor flat and a shedding pet who wants the cheapest thing that genuinely helps. On all three this is the right machine and there is currently no second option on this site.

Everybody else should buy a map. Mapping now starts at a little over a hundred dollars on the Lefant M330 Pro, and in daily use it is worth more than anything the V2 offers.

What we did not verify

We have not handled this machine. Everything above is read from published specifications and the manufacturer's own documentation, cited below. These are the specific claims we could not check:

  • The suction. ILIFE publishes no Pa figure for this machine, so it cannot be placed on the scale the rest of this site uses, and we have not measured it.
  • The 120-minute runtime, and how far it falls on a floor with rugs or thresholds.
  • How well the tangle-free port handles very long hair over months of use.
  • How reliably it finds its dock without a map, which is the usual weak point of machines in this class.
  • The 2.99-inch height. It is ILIFE's own published figure and we have not measured the machine.
  • Build quality and long-term durability, which no published specification addresses and which is where the cheapest machines usually disappoint.
  • Noise. No decibel figure is published, by ILIFE or by anyone else in this price range.

That list is not a disclaimer bolted on at the end. It is the actual scope of this review, and anywhere a competitor's confident phrasing implies they checked these things without saying how, it is worth asking the same question of them.

What it gets right

  • No Wi-Fi needed at all - ILIFE states it plainly, so there is no account, no cloud service and nothing to be orphaned by a firmware update
  • A tangle-free suction port rather than a roller brush, so long hair has nothing to wrap around
  • 2.99 inches tall, which clears furniture most mapping machines cannot
  • Scheduling without an app, which the other no-network options do not offer
  • The cheapest machine on this site by a clear margin

What it gives up

  • ILIFE publishes no Pa figure, so its headline capability cannot be ranked against anything
  • No mapping of any kind - it covers a room by moving until it meets something, which is slow in a large space
  • No zones, no room selection and no cleaning history, because there is no app to hold them
  • A tangle-free port has nothing to agitate carpet pile with, so this is a hard-floor machine
  • No mopping, and no dock beyond charging

Our scoring

Weights and the arithmetic behind the total are published on How we pick so you can recompute this yourself.

Who it is for: Somebody buying for a household that will never open an app, or who actively does not want another connected device on the network.

Skip it if: your home is carpeted or larger than a small flat. With no brush and no map it is the wrong tool for pile, and it will not cover a big floor plan reliably.

Questions people actually ask

Does the ILIFE V2 need Wi-Fi?

No. ILIFE states that no Wi-Fi connection is required for operation - it runs from a physical remote control or the button on the machine, and it can be put on a cleaning schedule without an app. There is no account and no cloud service involved.

Is there a robot vacuum that works without an app?

The ILIFE V2 is the one we currently rank. It is the only machine on this site that needs no network connection at all, now that eufy has discontinued the RoboVac 11S MAX that used to hold that position.

How much suction does the ILIFE V2 have?

ILIFE does not publish a figure for this model. We score an unpublished figure as unverified rather than assumed weak, but it does mean the machine's headline capability cannot be compared against anything that does publish one.

Is the ILIFE V2 good for pet hair?

On hard floors, yes for the price. It uses a tangle-free suction port rather than a roller brush, so there is nothing for long hair to wrap around. On carpet it is weak, because an open inlet has nothing to agitate pile with.

Does the ILIFE V2 map your home?

No. It has no mapping of any kind - it covers a room by moving until it meets something, using auto, spot and edge modes from the remote. That means no keep-out zones, no room selection and no cleaning history.

What happened to the eufy RoboVac 11S MAX?

eufy discontinued it. Its listing now reads "Currently unavailable" with no stock in any condition, and the only other listing is a refurbished one with no price. The ILIFE V2 is the machine we would buy instead if what you wanted was a robot vacuum with no app.
